Over de les

Starting with short procedures to help relaxing the feet and to ease lower back pain, this class focuses mostly on safe back-bending.

A question about pain in the lower back after doing yoga is the start of this lecture (question is cut due to privacy). Pressure in the lower back can be caused by rouding the upper back. So this class takes you through a lot of opening the shoulders and strengthening serratus to work towards a non compressive backbending. Opening the chest is necessary to let go of (long held) emtions. Also opening and strenghtening hips (especially gluteus) is been taught (but Robert takes us through it very fast, just to complete the video). We recommend you take some time extra to stay in these poses a little longer and do you're own savasana.

Questions:

Robert goes through downward dog to strengthen serratus anterior and posterior deltoid. He also gives some easier options of exercises for people who’s serratus isn’t yet strong enough to activate it well in downward facing dog. What options does he give?

What can be the cause(s) of tingling in the limbs while doing a pose?
